Music to paint!

All I can say is that this assignment is awesome in the sense that we don't need to use our brain....
Yes...no brain.

Ms Lisa told us to pick one song for the "music to paint" playlist and those music will be play during the whole session.
And of course, the song that i picked is "Afterlife" from Avenged Sevenford.
Recently I just can't stop listen to that song...and I don't know why..
The melody keep sniping and spinning in my head....
So I pick this song.

This assignment was divided into 2 parts which are classical music painting and pop music painting.
For the classical session, we are not allow to speak or interact with the others.
The reason why is to let us flow with the music and concentrate in our own realm.
As for the pop session, we are allow to do anything like jumping or talking or even twerking during painting.
Then all of us start talking and laughing but none of us did twerking....

This is my artwork after "Afterlife"

Afterlife

Finally, we are reaching an end in our foundation.
It is hard for me to say this but yes....we are about to move on to another level.
Some of us are going to oversea, some of us are still staying.
This doesn't matter, I want to tell everyone in my class that we finally made it to the end!
We did our best in every assignments, I mean most of the assignments.
And I realized some of us have really grown up during the whole process.
I'm really glad to work with you guys and also Ms Lisa, who has been really motivating and giving me a lot of ideas in my design work which definitely benefits my future plan.
Thanks Ms Lisa and I promised I will wave to you whenever I saw you in campus.
hahaha...
And for my classmates who's going oversea for further studies.
Take good care and good luck!

Monogram

What is monogram?
For me, monogram is a kind of visual art which can portrait one's personalities and purposes by just looking at the symbol.
Monogram is a symbol from combining 2 or more letters or initials of names.
It was used by most of the company to act as a logo for their own products.
For example~

Designing a monogram can be very fun and challenging because there's tons of different ways of doing it by changing your initial name into another form of art.
A lot of sketching and exploration during the process and it also depending on our creativity skill.
These are all my raw sketches on my monogram with different initial of my name...

This sketch is not acceptable because "LEE" is not the initial of my name, yet is my surname.

Keep sketching........keep sketching............

After a few discussion with Ms Lisa, my logo has finally came out.
This logo looks like the side view of a guy.
But actually it was derived from my initial which are "Nick Lee Phing Chuan" (NLPC)
I feel very satisfied to this logo because I was able to create a pictogram logo from my name which is what I wanted to do in the beginning.

Let me show you my poster and products with my logo on it.

If you noticed, it is an antelope.
And most importantly, this antelope was extracted from every parts of my logo.
I was quite surprised when I did this because I never knew that my logo can actually turn into another piece of work just by changing the parts.

We placed our monogram posters and products on the table for our final presentation.
These are some of my friend's work which successfully attract my attention.
