Hue~

• The property of colors by which they can be perceived as ranging from red to yellow,green and blue,determined by the wavelength of the light.
• Refers to the pure color in painting color theory~one without tint and shade.

• Lightness or darkness of color.

Saturation~

• The amount of brightness/purity of a hue.
• Higher saturation = less white
  Lower saturation = more white
• Also known as chroma.

Secondary color~

• Mixing two primary color in equal proportions.
• cyan (a mixture of blue and green), magenta (a mixture of blue and red), and yellow (a mixture of green and red). 
• Each secondary color is also the complementary color of the primary color whose wavelength it does not contain.

• Mixing either one primary color with one secondary color OR two secondary color.

Symmetry and Asymmetry?

Symmetry means a mirror image

Which means that both sides are proportional to each other.
This type of image has great appeal, many people automatically gravitate to symmetrical phenomenon.

Look around us~we are symmetrical after all !

Asymmetry also known as informal balance

Asymmetry means without symmetry.

It has nothing to do with balance.
No mirror images as well.

Overall : ~

So,symmetrical and asymmetrical composition is our new assignment.

We need to create 2 picture which involve these 2 kinds of composition in it.

The pictures are presented in collage and paper cutting method,not by plain drawing.

Finally, i've done my both pictures,but i don't really satisfied with it,course i think is not the best of me,seriously.

Anyway,take a look at my symmetrical picture~

As you can see

This is a abstract version of a human face

It also looks like the face of a zebra,or an elephant.

Depends on your own perspective on this abstract picture.

I design this human face into more primitive ways,u can tell by noticing the tribal tattoos on the face.

(It is not the wrinkles by the way~)

The color combination is half black and half red. 

Black represented the cruel world outside which is fulled of darkness.

While the red represented surviving and revolution of life.

Personally,i think that red and black are very matched.

All i wanna described through this picture is the innermost of a human heart, there is always a beast inside.

No matter how noble or how knowledgeable you are.

When things come to a despair situation，

Humans will eventually show their beastliness to protect their own rights and safety.

 It can't be avoided as we are a part of the role in the law of the jungle too.

WE NEED TO SURVIVE

And this is my asymmetry picture.

This time i used a grey A4 paper and a small piece of red paper.

The picture is very simple and straight forward which has no too intense meaning compared to the symmetrical picture.

As you can see,a man is trying to kiss with a woman.But their lips are not attach to each other yet.

This symbolizes love is more beautiful before it really started.

Just like ambiguous in a relationship which is always the sweetest part for a couple.

I purposely make the lips of the woman red because that will become some soft of a focal point for the whole picture,and it will not be too dull.

ILLUSTRATION is my style~~

I know,as a designer,our own art movement style is extremely important.Or else,the painting or products we created will be less attractive to customers.WE NEED TO BE UNIQUE in our design.
That day,Ms Lisa told us to choose our own art movement.
So I surfed over the Wikipedia and google, then i found my art movement until i saw these pictures:~

An illustration is a depiction to illuminate something meaningful,something real!
Something will make you cry just a look at it,it touches our hearts~
A key to good communication

The notable illustrator who inspired me was Santiago Caruso

Althought this is quiet scary and uncomfortable,but is absolutely stunning to me.

I can feel the despair,hopelessness and the intense feeling of death from this illustrations.
This is really something to me.

And I have decided to follow this kind of art movement but with a little modification
by my own unique way,to produce my very own art creation.

These are the aspects i hav learnt while doing this video.

It takes 3 days for me to take those photos,and why is it takes so long?The mounting board Frame i will say! Is so hard to take a photo while one of your hand have to hold a frame.

Moreover,you have to avoid a few kind of prohibitions,eg : Uncomfort zone,noisy background,and more..Is quiet challenging though.

In this video,i am trying to combined these great photos with matching music and story line to make it sounds more creative and awesome,i hope it does.

I hope my effort and sweat are not in vain~hope you guys will enjoy this,peace!

Self Portrait

We're doing our self portrait today.
What i know about our self portrait is putting all your feelings and emotions about yourself into a visual depiction...
First,we gotta create a minp map which includes all our personalities as well as our style..so,i just roughly do a simply sketch of my 1st mind map:

This is it~i drew a black and white expressionless mask in the middle,followed by 4 branch liked arm leading to 4 of my personalities and favourites.

So,my 1st personality is EXTREME
~I will focus more on what i'm interested in rather than those bored stuff to me..As i say " I don't give a ..."
2nd will be music
~I love MUSIC just as much as myself...Sometimes i need music to calm my mind,as well as one of my source of ideals!
3rd,I'm quiet a PERFECTIONIST,at a certain point.
~When I am doing some video trimming/editting,or some of my paintings,i will always harsh myself,so called nitpick~so sometimes,arguments between me and my group members occur at some point.Well...i think is normal for a designer right?Don't you think?
4th is SPORT
Seriously,i can't live without sport..I just can't,hahahha.
I played badminton when i was 9, and i became a district player when i was around 15.
When i was 17,i started to play basketball and managed to get into district level in Johor.
That was the old days,and now,i m still playing badminton but mostly of the time i go for gym,to build up my body and form.Confidence is what i needed right now!
Besides,I like to jog on the treadmill,that's the moment for me to create some new ideas.
OH~and also when i was in a traffic jam(ignore the jam,start thinking,don't waste time!)

Self Portrait

This is my self portrait~is kinda easy to understand it.As you can see that is me with a little devil and a little angel standing on my shoulder.Each of them are holding up 1 kind of mask on my face,which is evil and kind.And my face is splitting into 2~so as my heart.For the evil side of my heart,i used dry leaves and stick on it,means that my heart is dried and unhealthy.For the holy side of my heart,i used some greenish leaves to showed healthy and livelyAccording to the portrait,it shows that sometimes i am wearing different kind of masks in different situation,dealing with different people is what we have to do everyday in order to accommodate the flow of living,make it smooth~That's not our fault actually,is the society i dare to say.We are trained since young by those adults of how to integrate into this treacherous community...What do we know about it?We don't know anything,we're just following whatever they teach us.In the end,you and me,are just the same.

My Final Self Portrait

I'm trying to illuminate my deep emotion and feeling about how i wanna escape from the "mask" in me.
It was a good opportunity for me to understand more about myself.Or else,i won't be able to move on.
